MONTHLY PROGRAMS

MSA hosts several special monthly Program Talks where new members and visitors are certain to meet new friends among our passionate membership.

At each meeting refreshments are served, and attendees have an exciting opportunity to win in the 'Grand Prize Raffle', with one raffle for adults, one for visitors, and one for juniors. 

Members who wear their 'MSA Name Badges' to general meetings have a golden opportunity to participate in a special MSA Name Badge Raffle.

MEETINGS & EVENTS

In event you don’t see future events or meetings posted under Events tab, please use following MSA meeting rules to help with planning your calendar:

  • MSA Meetings are typically 3rd Thursday (January-June) and (September-November).
  • December is MSA Holiday Jamboree (2nd Saturday).
  • Summer Recess/No Meetings (July & August).

TUCSON GEM &

MINERAL SHOW 

In February each year MSA participates in the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. MSA installs special exhibits with opportunities for members to loan their specimens.

PINAL GEM &

MINERAL SHOW

MSA is a founding Sponsor of Pinal Gem and Mineral Show. Each year in around month of March, MSA attends and participates in the Pinal Gem and Mineral Show. The Show is held at the Pinal Geology and Mineral Museum in Coolidge, Arizona. This event features the Museum and includes mineral, fossil and gem dealers.

Mineralogical Society of Arizona produces the Phoenix Heritage Mineral Show.  PHMS focuses on well-known, top-quality mineral dealers with a select representation of high-quality gemstone, jewelry, and fossil dealers. The goal of our show is to bring exceptional minerals to the underserved mineral collector and to be a gathering place where collectors can cultivate their passion for fine minerals and enjoy good fellowship with others in the mineral collecting community. 


Visit Phoenix Heritage Mineral Show

The first weekend of January each year the MSA participates in the annual Flagg Gem and Mineral Show located on campus of Mesa Community College. MSA has a booth and features a micro-mineral educational section.

The favorite for the young show attendees is the MSA "Spinning Wheel".  Every spin wins a prize!

Around month of April the Flagg Mineral Foundation hosts the Minerals of Arizona Symposium and the MSA is always supporting this event.

The symposium features world class speakers and includes mineral & gem dealers. The event includes refreshments and a lunch.
