At this time, the field trip is tentative and is dependent upon California's regulations about COVID 19 and seismic activity in the area.  Last year the Trona Show and field trips were cancelled due to COVID 19 and the show in 2019 was cancelled due to earthquakes.

This image (at the Trona Gem-O-Rama) displays a halite digger's pants after a day in the brine pools.  The salt encrusted jeans are standing stiff without support!  This in itself is worth the trip!
