SPECTRUM & PRISM MINES
SUNDAY MSA FIELD TRIP INFORMATION
MSA is heading to Blue Cube, Prism and Spectrum Mines to collect Fluorite and Amethyst (Quartz). These are privately claimed mines in the Harquahala Mountains. The Amethyst is mostly massive, though good for cutting (top image). The fluorite is typically green/blue (bottom image with UVa image on right). Both have been found with small Wulfenite crystals.
