Check out our Arizona Fossil Fest!
Come see the 2025 Arizona Fossil Fest on June 28 at the Pinal Geology and Mineral Museum in Coolidge, Arizona from 10am-2pm. Free admission and parking and light snacks and refreshments provided.
The PGMM was founded by Arizona legend Dr. Raymond Grant—a retired geology professor. He is also the lead author of the Mineralogy of Arizona 4th edition. We have fossils on display and a wonderful collection of Arizona minerals and rocks—many worldwide specimens, a special meteorite display donated by the late great Dr. Carleton Moore, and new donation and loan specimens on display. We hope to host Arizona fossil collectors who will show off their finds and will be happy to answer questions and show off their fossils.
I’ve prepared over 350 identified (most to genus and specie) invertebrate fossils for sale at low, low prices. All sales will help fund the museum as we strive to keep the museum open additional days during the summer.
The fossils are arranged geographically—Texas holds the top position with 55 specimens. Foreign—51; Iowa—36; Oklahoma—31, Ohio—27, and several other states represented by more than 5!
Our gift shop will be stocked, homemade cookies baked the night before, and cold drinks (pop, tea, and water). Of course, we are air-conditioned so no “it’s too hot” excuses to enjoy the fossil frenzy!
Bring your specimens (fossil, mineral, and rock) to be identified.
In the words of Bartles and James, “Thank you for your support!”
